A New Beginning?

Hey Everyone,

I know it has been quite a while since I posted on here, but I am thinking it may be time for a comeback. I don't know if it is the air in Ottawa, or maybe the concussion I suffered a few months back has finally rebooted some of my creativity, but I am thinking it is about time for a comeback of sorts. Now my postings will probably have the same theme as before (pro Liberal) but I think it is time to clean things up and start writing with a bit of professionalism (4 years of writing poli sci essays tends to do that to you). I do have an essay that I am currently writing, so I may not make my first official new post for a day or two, but I already have an idea of what it will be which is a summary of some of the events over the past couple of years in federal politics. A brief history of what I have been up to, since I moved from Alberta in 2008, I have attended two years at Laurentian University starting my political science degree, and after meeting a bunch of good friends and people in Sudbury, I decided to move to a university that is closer to where my degree would matter and a school where there is a more robust political science program and began attending Carleton University two years ago. Last spring, I was elected president of the Carleton Political Science Society (unopposed election, but an election win is a win I believe) and began work to build on the society and finish my BA Honours in political science with a law minor, but in October of last year, ended up in a serious car accident in which I suffered a severe concussion. This put me on the shelf for the rest of the year effectively forcing me to drop my fall courses and delay my graduation, and even though I wasn't 100% I tried to go back to school in the winter term. This didn't turn out as well as expected as I didn't do quite as well as I wanted, thanks to a relapse in symptoms in late February. Over the last couple of months, I have been seeing several improvements in my mental processing and my symptoms have mitigated quite a bit since then. So I have the summer courses that I am currently taking along with the fall courses and I should graduate in theory at the end of the year. That has been my life in a nutshell over the last few years, and the next post will be about my thoughts on politics over those years as well.
